I've made a picture tutorial for converting DVD vob files to Avi, suitable for use in your favorite NLE video editor.

If you are nervous about using VirtualDub, this procedure would be a good way to start, very quick and easy.

Gordon has been kind enough to host this for me on Romskye.com, now I just hope I get the links right
(I can't actually get into his site myself, my server blocks me)
